The studios multi purpose VT area may be utilised for recording, playout, dubbing and two machine editing, Material may be recorded on DigiBeta, MPEG IMX, Beta SP and onto the four record channel Geevs video server which handles formats from DV up to 50Mbit MPEG. Playout is available on DigiBeta, MPEG IMX, Beta SX, Beta SP, DVCAM and Mini DV. The Mpeg IMX and DigiBeta recorders are quickly configured in conjunction with the Sony edit controller to allow two machine editing for news and sport. The versatile layout enables one operator to control several unrelated tasks simultaneously. Additionally VHS recorders are available.
