Recent contracts for Gaelic broadcasting
In the four months between 1 January and 30 April 2004, the Gaelic Media Service signed new production agreements with programme producers for 104 hours of television and radio programming worth £3,929,110.
The distribution of contracts was as follows:
- BBC: £2,481,211
- Independent Producers: £1,447,899
During the same four month period, the Service issued £2.6 million in production grants for the above programmes and others that had been previously contracted. Detailed lists of programme contracts signed and production grants issued are attached.
