Recent contracts for Gaelic broadcasting

In the four months between 1 September 2003 and 31 December 2003, the Gaelic Broadcasting Committee (now the Gaelic Media Service) signed new production agreements with programme producers for 18 hours of television programming worth £1,052,624.

The distribution of contracts was as follows:

Independent Producers: £902,020
Scottish Media Group: £150,604

During the same four month period, the Committee issued £2.5 million in production grants for the above programmes and others that had been previously contracted.
